Títol: Elliptic PDE 2: Existence and uniqueness of solutions
Resum: There are two main approaches to the problem of existence anduniqueness of the solutions. Theenergy methods, related to thevariational formulation and theviscosity methods, based on a moregeometric approach. We will discuss both for the Laplace equa-tion, and then comment on how an extension to general ellipticoperators is possible. Additionally, we will see how the same met-hods can be adapted to the obstacle problem
